A great collection of Lewis essays that capture his wit and wisdom for the ages. The worst of what he presented has come true in our day. But he still points to the true Hope.

Fantastic Collection

This book was a most engaging exposition and discussion of the roots of opposing philosophical thinking about justice and natural law and the varied thoughts as to corrective actions for deserving law breakers involving educating vs punitive vs curative approaches.

Thoughts from the past significant in the present and the future

Learn how to think correctly by hearing examples of well-articulated thoughts thought by someone who was able to think correctly. If you think while reading this, “Psh, I know how to think perfectly fine, thank you,” then you almost certainly need this book, but almost certainly will not listen to it. I hope you, the reader of this humbly made comment, will find yourself as the minority in the group above described, allowing, of course, that you belong to that group at all. Happy thinking.

CS Lewis is always a stimulating and satisfying experience. The emphasis here is on philosophical topics including subjectivism, atheism, vivisection, and capital punishment among others.
Listening to Ralph Cosham is like listening to Lewis himself, wonderful!

Interesting collection of thoughts, especially the one regarding subjectivism

I’ve read almost all of Lewis’ books. While i enjoy them all some I enjoy more than others. This is a good book to listen to if you’ve already read some of his other, more compelling books like “Mere Christianity”, “Greif Observed”, or “the Screwtape Letters”. While this is book is interesting some of the topics wont be everyones’ cuppa tea. I feels very much like Lewis is just throwing off of his thoughts down on a paper in now real particular order.

A solid book
