Garrett & Karly!

I love novellas, they fill those gaps between long angsty listens. This short is full of romance and healing. Garrett is ready to deploy with his troop when a knee injury prevents him from going. Now in the hospital, he finds himself attracted to his nurse. Karly finds him very appealing, but can she date a patient? Can she trust him after all that has happened to her? This is a great story. I love Karly, she is spunky and independent. I also love that she just doesn't jump at the chances she is given. I think this makes the story more realistic. I have great sympathy for Garrett. He had quite a blow when he could not deploy, but he is using the advantage he has. He is definitely the kind of man you want for the long term! Another great story by Lori King. This series is very entertaining.

Blair Seibert enhances this story with her narration. She has great voices for her characters. There is a richness to her tone, so we can hear and feel that warmth of Karly, the kind of voice you would like to hear from a nurse. She easily transitions to male voices and gives Garrett a sexy voice that is impossible not to fall for. Another wonderful performance.

Quick escape

I thoroughly enjoyed this military love at first sight story. For being a short book the development of the romance from how they met, how they slowly fell in love, the dilema and resolution felt believable and real. It had some hot scenes too. All the elements of a wonderful romance wrapped in a short book with very good narration. Highly recommended for a quick escape.

Learning to trust again

A short story about Carly a nurse who has been burned by love before learning to trust again. Garrett is a solider who is injured and can't deploy with his team and meets Carly the nurse at the doctor's office . He's smitten and starts to pursue her and try to get her ton trust her lover for him.

Regaining trust and Finding love

This is a realistic and run romance. Karly's life was shattered by a cheating ex. Can Garret be the man who can gain her trust and love? He does have a secret that could destroy their relationship. I love how the author creates such realistic situations and conflicts in this story. The narrator does an outstanding job of portraying the emotions and desires of these characters. I find her a pleasure to listen to. I asked to receive this Audible book and voluntarily wrote this unbiased review. I highly recommend this Audible book.

I loved listening to this as much as I loved reading it!!! The narrator did an excellent job holding my attention!
