This is a “simmering “ romance. It’s a somewhat emotional listen. The narration is on fleek. Yes. I said “fleek”. Can’t beat the Aa & Jm powerhouse. It has a sweet HEA but I’m slightly annoyed bc I don’t feel like all the villains got their dose of Karma. This is a standalone but there are more books in the “series” so I can hear about the secondary characters.

🤭 Complainer’s Comments (spoilers)

I was slightly annoyed with the made up Ideals that Mac made up as his reason for leaving Izzy. I thought Clarissa had some major dirt on Mac and Izzy, like the couple had murdered someone and Clarissa didn’t turn them in. Nope. It was bc Mac thought he wasn’t good enough for Izzy and instead of staying and protecting her from Other threats (I thought Clarissas father might have done something
to Izzy) Mac left Izzy and didn’t really tell her why.

Having a child with a disability myself, I love it when authors include characters that have some kind of mental or physical obstacle. And it was written so respectfully So thank you AL Jackson.

Amazing love story of pain and trumph.

Izzy and Maxime are the pure definition of love conquers it all. very essence of believe in someone even when they don't believe in themselves. Absolutely brilliant!! Definitely a 5 start + Rating!!!

Amazingly beautiful story

This was such a great story. I’ve never listened to this author before and I’m glad I gave it a shot. Andi is my favorite female narrator and even though I’ve never listened to anything from Jacob, he knocked it out of the park. He actually sounds like Zachary Webber who I loveeee. I’m excited to listen to more audio books from this author.

Best book I’ve listened to !

This book was just amazing! Sooo much love, compassion and of course heartbreak, and laughter wrapped up in such a moving story. I truly recommend this one! I’m sure I’ll listen to it again and again over the years!! Who can pass up a perfect ending? Not me!

Sweet Story

I loved the narrators. Jacob Morgan and Andi Arndt are two of my favorites. I liked the story but I felt like it dragged out in the middle a little too much. But it was worth the credit.
