One hell of a ride!

Fantastic story! This was a first Aron Beauregard read/listen for me and it won’t be the last! Charachters that you both love and hate, lots of blood, guts, gore. Super entertaining.

bloody disgusting!

loved it. it's definitely not for everyone, but I've been a gore hound since I was out of the crib.
if you like kids, probably steer clear.

Twisted goodness

Great story and narrator! The pictures in the book are good too. Will read more of this authors book

Solid 3.5

Overall it felt dragged out. Once the “playground” parts started it became more enjoyable, but very long winded and I found myself tuning out. The narrator did a fairly decent job with what she was given. Unique character voices and since it was mostly children, the narrator having a soft voice played very well but hurt in other areas. Overall felt it could have been cut down to 4hrs giving it a better pace.

Ps. The old woman’s love life is a good example of parts that dragged on for far to long and felt out of place with the story.

I think I’m a fan

Let me start off by saying they Lila Kerry and Aaron Beauregard is a perfect match. I’ve listened to The Slob and Son of the Slob. Aron Beauregard is a great writer even though the content is extremely brutal. This is by far my favorite out of the 3 that I’ve listened too.

It gives a Saw type feel, but I would say this is a bit more brutal. Definitely not for the squeamish.
