Soon, Ellie and the major are locked in a battle of wits and a race against time with an unknown and deadly adversary. With German bombs dropping on the city and a would-be assassin shadowing their every move, it will take all of Ellie’s resourcefulness and Major Ramsey’s fortitude to unmask the spymaster and avert disastrous consequences—for England and for their own lives.

A unique and fascinating story

This book is as entertaining and intriguing as the first two in the series and just as enjoyable. The characters are refreshingly unique but quite believable. One hopes it won’t be long until there is a fourth.

Such a cute fun story set in a a time of chaos and crisis

Chaos and crisis becomes a funny who done it. Enough of the sad and harrowing truth about England in the midst of WWII. And I’m the middle of it all she’s growing and turning corners.

Action Packed Mystery

Alison Larkin. Her voice will always be Ellie for me! Idk if she has narrated other books, and I’m gunna go searching, but I have loved her for this series.

This Story is my favorite so far! Even MORE dire circumstances, new setting, and unique tasks lay before Ellie, but she isn’t easily fooled.

Ellie is tasked with a mission from Major Ramsey and this time she is given the tiniest bit of info. Lucky she always brings her lock picking kit and her keen eye. In this story she makes many a quick friend and smoothly joins just the right group when a murder happens. She may be in too deep with this one.

Gabriel Ramsey hates to enlist Electra’s help again, but her skill set and the way they work together makes him allow it. This time the other players might just get away with their smuggling, at least, they will do anything to make sure that is the case.

This story certainly kept me in my toes, the suspense and danger escalated fast, their slow burn romance sizzled, and Ellie’s smart and wit shined.

Absolutely love this series!

This series has it all - intrigue, mystery, and romance. The Major & Ellie are a perfect combination. So sad I have to wait another year for the next book.
