I didn't have high hopes going into this - because Reading Slump is a thing.

Wow, was I pleasantly surprised!!
This was good, like GOOD.

So happy this is a series, because I will definitely continue reading the shit out of this.

It will probably be one of my favourite comfort books to return to when I need a pick-me-up.

Savored each moment

Exquisite audio narration. The characters are rich and full. The story is flawlessly rendered and I am eager to continue the series.

Loved the audiobook!

Many, many years ago, I eyeball read this series. After audible had a huge sale, I grabbed the audiobooks for a steal - so glad that I did! I absolutely loved it in audio. The narrator was the perfect fit.

This is a fade-to-black fantasy romance. Higher on the plot than the actual romance.

Can’t wait to dive into the second book.

I had red the series a couple of years back and just wanted to listen to it as a background while I am working. BUT I have never enjoyed listening to a book as much as this one. The narrator brought life to this story and added more life to the story I remembered! Loved it!
