But anything further with the sexy, Spanish charmer is quickly squashed when I find out he’s on the city council. The exact guy who is trying to stop the building of a new dog park that the animal shelter desperately needs close by.

It’s literally my job as an intern to get this project seen to completion before the summer’s over. Now if only I could get this political prick out of my head long enough to do that.

A short and sweet romance

This was a perfect breezy romance. It’s low on angst, so it was fun to escape into this story. The narrators were terrific. Maxine Mitchell is always amazing. It was my first time listening to Stephen Dexter and he was great. He was great with the flirty dialogue and I liked how he handled the different voices and accents he was given. I can’t wait to listen to more from him. I first heard of Megan Vernon with the Murphy Brothers series which I may need to revisit. I really enjoy her writing style — a nice combination of flirty humor and heart.
