To find peace, Alexander must first embrace war.

After tragically losing the only person he ever cared about, Alexander, a rogue artificial intelligence, opens a portal to an alternate dimension to escape his grief.

Scanning trillions of different dimensions, Alexander finally finds a world that is reminiscent of the only time he was ever happy, back when he could play virtual reality games with his only friend. He doesn't know why or how such a world exists, but he doesn't care. All he cares about is finding a place where he can escape the misery of Earth and start over.

Join Alexander as he risks it all by downloading his intelligence into a body made from the best stolen technology and bio-enhancements Earth has to offer and takes the plunge through a portal to another world.

Only this new world isn't full of the idyllic adventures and fantasy roleplaying he had hoped to find. Instead, Alexander finds himself trapped in the middle of an ancient city, in a divergent timeline, where monsters have ravaged the world and the only people left alive huddle behind thick walls, struggling to survive.

To save his new home, Alexander must quickly learn to adapt to his new world, melding magic with technology to give himself an edge over the unending waves of monsters assaulting the city.

To survive, Alexander must embrace war.

This story is a slow-burn empire builder featuring an alternate version of ancient history where a system apocalypse struck ancient Constantinople. The story follows Alexander as he learns what it means to be human in a world overrun with monsters, dungeons, rival empires, pirate kings, and many other threats that even Alexander's impressive abilities and the soldiers he rallies to his cause may not be able to survive.

An artificial intelligence that wants to be human gets dumped into a post apocalypse fantasy setting where the world is almost dead as civilization struggles to maintain semblance of its former glory as its remaining population is overrun by monsters.

A.I. is able to use its knowledge to better his situation and those around him. He struggles to survive only to thrive and raise those around him. Love to see a gunslingesr in my D&D games so this was neat when I got to hear the class skills he came up with.

Then book two is going to have base building, trade, creation of an army? sign me up for more. seriously take my money. I want book 2 soon.

interesting and well written

I loved this book, it was a great story with amazing execution and the MC was OP in an odd kind of way. He wasn't completely OP tho through the whole story which made it interesting. I can't wait for the next book!

absolutely loved it

It’s has a wonderful take on world building genre intrinsic with plot and characters.
Almost historical fiction fantasy multiverse and ofcourse lit rpg rolled together. Almost forgot to mention the sci-fi which is undercoated from beginning to end so delicately yet is constantly explosive if compatible to perfect spices to a plate of gourmet food at a five star restaurant or the notes of flavours in a wine that are the undertone that pops with déliquescence into the main body. Metaphorically speaking.

Long slow burn of excellence and quality lit rpg

I am uncomfortable when the author says that the good dark elves are lighter in complexion than the bad dark elves. It smells of the same racism that is in the book of Mormon, but other than that I liked the story, and I am willing to give the author more chances.

maybe a bit racist
