I was seeking a book with specific examples of effective extinction of common challenging protest behaviors such as hitting, biting, and throwing. Many of the examples provided in this book are situations involving relatively mild behaviors (i.e. cursing, interruption). While it is advised that no book alone can address the specific needs of individual children, (necessitating the need for tailored ABA evaluation and therapy!) discussion of effective discipline in relation to overall cognition/ intellectual abilities is not explored or mentioned.

This book is a solid introduction to ABA therapy principles for those who are new to ABA. The writing is accessible to beginners, and the chapter summaries are helpful reviews of important takeaways.

Very informative! I was unsure as to what the method of ABA was before this and was able to identify and modify certain behaviors I was doing myself that was actually hindering my sons progress! I started implementing this procedure half way through the book and in 2 days I already saw an improvement in his communication and progress with potty training & other behaviors!

Amazing

I wish it focused more on toddlers. But very informative. I will definitely use this as my little one gets older.
