Mostly good

This was on its way to one of my fav books ever! The unrequited love with friends is great. The support and love they give each other is great and I loved their relationship. The narrators were perfect, the storyline was great for the most part.

It all got weird for me with the sex. Their first encounter was odd. I do think she put a lot of thought and effort behind why this dynamic of Dom and sub worked, it just got a lil much at times, but she did find a way to still make it loving in some spots. in a lot of ways it would have been ok but some areas I just didn't like. it's pretty strong with the kink and descriptions with this one. if that was more toned down this book would be 🫶🤌

Holy Swoon! This childhood friends to lovers romance had the perfect amount of angst, passion and laughs! Jasper is the type of hero that is easy to fall for, quiet, broody and fiercely protective, even with his busy hockey schedule, Sloane came first in all things. Prime and proper in her career and life, Sloane had her wild and rebellious side, and I loved seeing it come out with Jasper. She could be her true self with him and these two had chemistry in spades. Holy shower scene!

I loved that Jasper was so protective over Sloane’s heart and ultimately her happiness, knowing her scumbag fiancé was absolutely the wrong man for her and did everything he could to be the real man she needed. Sloane had no problem speaking her mind with Jasper, for years she told him everything, so when it was finally their chance to be together, she didn’t hold back and I loved that she wouldn’t let him stay in his head with his feelings. She knew the only way to get to him was to have him tell her EVERYTHING he wanted and needed. Dirty talking Jasper hits just righttttt, “Lose that ring and crawl….”Yes sir! And having Teddy Hamilton narrate those scenes, so hot!! CJ was just perfect as Sloane as well, she embodied that confident yet vulnerable character trying to find her way out from under her upbringing.

The chemistry and love shared between Jasper and Sloane really upped the heat factor in this book and I was here for it! Overall a great friends to lovers romance, with some great forced proximity moments and of course who doesn’t love a runaway bride moment, especially when a man like Jasper helps her escape! And I can’t forget to mention how much I LOVE Harvey, he really brings the laughs!!

Amazing story with wonderful narration

Each of Elsie’s books keep getting better and better. Powerless is filled with heat, angst, passion, love and an amazing family - at least for one of them! Elsie is so gifted at writing stories that pull every emotion from you…this one is special, so sweet, tender, and full of love…there’s a good chance you will need tissues. So so good. Jasper and Sloane are some of my favorite characters. I loved the first couple of chapters…from that moment you know these two are going to take you on a ride. Loved having some of the characters from the other books make an appearance. Grandpa Harvey has a special place in my heart - he is so funny, sweet and a special man. Teddy Hamilton and CJ Bloom did an amazing job with their performance. Teddy Hamilton’s voice is so deep, delicious and growly which is perfect for Jasper. CJ’s voice is so sweet, kind and strong which is perfect for Sloane. They both give these characters amazing personalities filled with humor, banter and emotions. I love audiobooks because they being a whole new experience to books. I HIGHLY recommend this book…it is sooo amazing!

I'm loving this series

This is a new to me author, and I'm really enjoying this series. Each couple has a special place in my heart. Small town, big love...
Can't wait until the next book is released. The narrations in each book have been amazing 👏🏽 and I love how each 1 is different.
