Loved it!

I loved Powerless by Jeff Hyland. This book opens with jam-packed action which gained my attention immediately. The author ‘powerfully’ weaves a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Declan Mac, the cool-under-pressure main character, encounters situations with hero-like thoughts and actions, while maintaining his ‘guy next-door’ persona. I loved the loyalty and camaraderie of all the team.
The narrator, Shayne Campbell, provides amazing pacing and timing to help the listener move through the action with perfect flow. I was completely involved in listening due to his storytelling tone and range of various character voices.
Dirk Pitt fans will love Powerless. I can’t wait for the sequel!

Excellent Narration!!

Great start to an interesting universe and hope there’s more to come! The performance by the narrator was especially captivating and exciting. Looking forward to the next book.

Great introduction

It’s always hard to start up a new saga but I think this was a good introduction to new characters and world. The narration was particularly good. It elevated an already strong story.

Great action and a great hero

This book totally hooked me. Declan Mac is one of those characters you instantly get behind—smart, tough, and cool. The story is engaging and exciting. It moves fast, with tons of action, cool spy stuff, and a few twists. The narrator nailed it too, which made it even more fun to listen to. If you're into spy thrillers, this one's a must. Really solid debut—I'm already hoping for a sequel!

A must read/listen!! One of my favorite books!

I love this book so much! From the moment I started it, I couldn’t stop listening! It’s a captivating page turner full of action and excitement. I love how vividly the scenes come to life - I really felt like I was there with them! The characters share a witty camaraderie that makes you cheer for them and feel invested in their team. The author and the narrator both do an incredible job! I can’t wait for the next book in the Declan Mac series!!
