A galaxy of friends, lovers, relatives and theatre acolytes sparkles around stage star Garry Essendine like bubbles in fine champagne. While Garry struggles to plan his upcoming trip to Africa, his elegant London flat is invaded by a love-struck ingenue, an adulterous producer, and a married seductress - not to mention Garry's estranged wife, Liz, and the memorable Roland Maule, an aspiring playwright who is quite, quite mad.© and (P) L.A. These actors are a hoot, very fun. But if you read along with the script, you will see a lot missing. Our community theatre company did more than this. But what they do give you is so excellent, it's worth listening to again and again.

This is my favorite Noel Coward play...Pickles and Ogilvy are brilliant beyond words. Yeardly Smith is a particular hidden gem who gives incredible depth to anything she does - no matter the role.

Genius

A light look at life with the "Bright Young Things" although our hero is older than he wishes to be. Nothing to test the brain cells here, just an enjoyable listen.

As bubbly as champagne

So well performed, i laughed out loud. Highly recommended. One of Noel Coward's funniest and best plays.
