Romance meets sci-fi

It's rare to find a sci-fi title that features a strong female protagonist who uses her brain, along with romance that moves the plot forward. This is an intricate tale of a woman who is forced to choose between the greater good and herself, and asks, what must we sacrifice? Very timely with today's concerns about global warming and its broader effects on survival.

Finished so strong!

This Book II took me a little longer to grab ahold of than Book I but it definitely got me about halfway through. I appreciated the subtle hints that the author began dropping like bread crumbs (a simile in honor of Ms. Dahlan’s love of similes). Wonderful plot twists and engaging characters made this an excellent read!
