I unfortunately wasn't a fan of this book. I expected something similar to the TV series, but it wasn't. As a 30-year-old woman, I enjoy the show, but the books are a little young for me.

Not the same as the TV show

The narrator's voice is pretty high-pitched so kind of annoying, but story line is good. I hate the music in the background at the beginning and the end. It's harder to focus on what the narrator is saying.

I liked the Show better.

I love pretty little liars however audible could have found someone who’s can actually do a proper accent and voices that the listener can tell apart.

The story is giving me that early-to-mid-2000s video I so missed as a kid, oddly enough. The story warnings, tho are Eating disorders, an age gap relationship with two of the main girls, and the fact of cheating before anyone buys the audiobook. Now the story is going back and forth with each main character, with a great world-building around the fact of who is who and what's going on. My criticism isn't with the story itself, but the one who is reading the book, they sound way too young, and I mean too young, to play the part of a teenager closer to senior/junior year old high school in my opinion. If the story had been read by someone else, I felt like it would have been better while listening to it, as I am listening to these books while drawing or working.

now with the story criticism because it's a old book and I don't want to spoiled anything much, I am point out I didn't like the age gap between the teacher and student, same with the girl and the sister's bf who is clearly in College where the girl was in highschool (giving more benefit of the doubt here because she maybe 18 and it's stated she is getting ready for college most likely she is a senior.) now with the Eating Disorders, it going into details what happened, just saying this as a heads up.

overall I did like the story for a drama feels, I am going to listen to book 2 later on tho.

drama story but...
