The fate of the seven kingdoms rests upon the Shadow Princess....

Melia is content being princess of an obscure kingdom.

But then, a madman raises an army of men and dragons, conquering much of the world.

Melia would die to save her family and her people, but what if the true cost is higher?

This book is the counterpart to Princess Melia’s Plight graphic novel. Each chapter was turned into a single comic book, and the five comic books were bundled to create the graphic novel.

This was a novelette with princesses, a sorcerer, and dragons. Clean and short, it delivered a great ending that thoroughly satisfied! I very much enjoyed the story.

A perfect fairytale if you are looking for an interesting short story. A fairytale where there are different types of girls some who need rescuing and those who rescue and take their fate into their own hands, not needing anyone to protect her. I liked this because it is more realistic as there are many types of girls in the world. This is one that I am going to keep in my favorites to listen to again and again.

An interesting listen that is definitely geared towards a younger audience.

Julie C. Gilbert knows how to tell a good story, and I always jump at the chance to listen.

Kate Poels did a lovely job with the narration, and I would enjoy listening to more of her performances.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

It is rare that I do not give 5 stars to Ms. Gilbert's books. This was well written and had a sweet fairy tale quality. I enjoyed listening to it, but it seemed to end a bit abruptly and I would have had a hard time sticking with it had it been a novel length book. It seemed for a younger audience. There were some good lessons for all, however, and were cleverly worked into the story.

I prefer her novels. The audio books I have are many and though I read a lot of the stories in eBook, format I plan to go back and listen to the audios.

Ms. Poels did a very good job on the narration.

I requested this audio book from Story Origin and have voluntarily left this honest review.
