So True and so disappointing

I’m hopeful and optimistic, with the understanding that things will get much worse before they can even began to get better.

That it’s better to prevent than trying to fix afterwards.

It was interesting and informative.
However, because it was a little choppy when a thought was expressed and the source was also read. I understand that citing sources gives the book validity, but if I were to READ the book instead of listening to it, I would have skipped the citation.

An Analysis That could have saved the Nation

S we find ourselves as American Citizens at the Bleakest and most dangerous point since the Late 1960’s. This Timing did not arise out of thin Air. Its presence could and should have been foreseen by the Failures of Institutions respected and trusted throughout American Society. Institutions representing the Lifeblood of Civil, Professional, Economic, and Political Existence.

The Author focuses on just one of these failures, that of the Disgustingly self-imposed muzzling of the Psychiatric and Psychological Professional Class to recognize the obvious Danger of the Rise to Political Power and Influence of an easily diagnosed Criminal Narcissistic Sociopath, Donald J. Trump. History will document that the malfeasance was widespread: Systemic Economic Inequality, Corporate Greed, Media Manipulation and Dishonesty, Ethical, and Educational Failures. All contributed to the Current Debacle. But this book shines the Light on one of the most critical Guardrails that Citizens should have been able to Trust to stand firmly in their Standards and Professional Quality.

We expect that Firemen know who and what causes Fires, that Police understand the threat of Crime, and Doctors can see the Roots of Sickness. But here we have the most serious threat to the survival of Democracy here and possibly The World, carefully documented through rigorous research, and thousands of Professionals refusing to sound the Alarm for Decades.

Even though Profile of a Nation addresses Pre-2020 Events, nothing has changed or improved in 2024 except to get worse. I just wish that these Truths had been exposed before Nov. 5, 2024. At least we can hear them now. I would have preferred Human Narration, but I still appreciate the Facts expressed: Five Stars. *****

It was the most important work when it was released and it’s the most important work, today! I read it then and I will listen to it again and again, until the principles are deep down in my soul.

more of an overview than a detailed analysis

author Bandy Lee has an important message to honest Americans who are uncomfortable with the destruction of our cherished country. Donald Trump has once again organized the single-minded dictatorial autocrats that live among us. This book is too vague to completely document the national mental health collapse we are living through. But it's a good first attempt.
