Tartarus is a dangerous place, every child knows that. But when a new soul finds his way there with no memories and no name, he gets to learn the harsh truth firsthand. Who is he? Why is he there? Why are entities beyond his understanding taking a personal interest in him? And why does everyone have a level? He doesn't know, but he's going to find out, even if it kills him.

Heavily inspired by Greek Mythology, Project Tartarus is a gripping tale of LitRPG fantasy and adventure. Featuring a found-family cast of characters who work to forge a shining light of hope in a cruel, dark world. This Sword & Sorcery story has elements of horror, romance, and striking imagery, but is also a story of courage and fighting for ones friends against all odds.

If you're into found family then this is a good fiction. Content warnings are a bit high on this one so listen before you take it to your kids, but this is one of my recent favorites.

Arche my boy, do your best.

The cast is excellent and it makes sense

Fast paced story telling without losing the depth of characters, an interesting world built around Greek mythology, and a central protagonist who I don't want to strangle everytime they make a decision? What more could a reader want!

If you're a fan of LITRPG but feel that the genre has gotten a bit stale for you (I know I have) this book is well worth a listen.

If you like a D&D this has a very close feel to listening to someone retelling their starter scenario. I really enjoyed this story and the Narrator was pretty good as well. I will say this is the first LitRPG ive listened too so it took a moment to get use to the stat dumps that happened periodically through the story but it wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination.

Pretty good

Let me start with saying this is a FUN listen. Usually it’s difficult to get into a LitRPG via audio because the stats can feel a little bit off if the narrator rushes through them, but this is done incredibly well. I can say I didn’t lose track at all (which honestly says more about me.)

The story is well written and avoids cliches which I appreciate immensely. It is very engaging and if you are familiar with mythology even more so! I am an extra big fan of the world building because it is woven into the story without spending pages (well, hours) explaining how things are set up in Tartarus. One thing I will say is that it doesn’t feel very dangerous at first just with the lower level start but I feel like that’s appropriate.

Also I really like Arche and Lyssa’s relationship. No damsel in distress here.

Very fun and one of the few LitRPGs that I’ve enjoyed on audio
