Most people don’t believe in monsters, assuming people are hallucinating or crazy. A secret organization knows we live in a multiverse. Sometimes the barriers between worlds opens and things slip into ours. Nasty things that prey on us.

This group is Project Threshold and it stands between us and the monsters. Direct Contact Teams wade in to contain or kill any threats to humanity. There’s a price, however, and unless these agents are smart and savvy enough, dying comes quick and without warning. And, sometimes dying is in the line of duty is the better option.

Project Threshold wades in where others can’t or won’t. They have one objective: Protect humanity from darkness.

Wading into Darkness contains all stories from series one of the Project Threshold books.

It appeals to me that it's like short stories that link together. Keeps you interested.
Also makes it a really good candidate for an adaptation for a series. Sort of like x files.
Two thumbs up.

Constant action from the start!

The narrator did a excellent job with the proper cadence and delivery that enhanced the story. I LOVE this series and can't wait for more! It takes you on an immersive journey blending the world as we know it and otherworldly creatures and beings. It raises the question of whether we really know the world around us. The writer did a fantastic job with the characters which felt very real as you are taken on their journey of discovery of new dangers as they unfold and their willingness to risk their lives for the sake of humanity. I've never enjoyed long road trips more and can't wait for the next in the series!

Absolutely love the stories - the evolution of everyday and not so everyday things - the narrator of the novel did an excellent job. Listening to it at night in a dark room, his voice just adds depth to the reading. The orator does an excellent job of inflecting just enough to keep the reader in tune with the transitions without putting a personal spin on what the characters sound like, allowing your imagination to work its magic. What can I say about the content? OMG, I won't ever take for granted the little things around us in the world the same way again. Words to describe it: spellbinding, dark, ambient, eerie, sinister, unearthly... Character development is excellent, what they endure in this monster-hunter, cryptid-defender profession, there is something in it for everyone. Just WOW! Take it on a road trip when you are driving at night, let the chills roll over you - you may need to pull over...

WOW!!! It's like the Cryptid X-files with a twist!
