Promises and Hyacinths is a narrative poem following the lives of one ordinary couple as the illusion of their perfect marriage crumbles around them, forcing both to make desperate choices from which there can be no return.

A great read for those that know fine, classical art and even for those that do not as the book takes the reader on a mysterious ride back in time to the origin of the painting.

Engrossing, read it in 1 day. Enjoyable. Different and unique. Liked the format of essays going back in time following the fictional painting.

I recommend it to anyone and everyone

This book really put bullying into perspective. Kids and adults too can be so mean. I never thought I would read a book like this but I'm glad I did.

Everyone who has or knows a preteen or teenager...anyone who teaches them works with them of have them in your life needs to read this book.
