His heart was ultimately shattered as he witnessed her succumb to the one threat he could not protect her from: herself.

a great book from a great man

I loved it I'm a Whitney fan he did an amazing job that's all I have to say

Amazingly sweet and authentic!

Listening to this was such a joy! The narrator was perfect and allowed you to feel as though you were listening to an intimate conversation with friend sharing stories about someone they truly loved, admired and wanted to protect at all costs. There was no trash talk or dirty secrets divulged, yet David didn’t stray away from the truth. Thank you David!

Intense read, I will forever view the film “ The Bodyguard “ in a whole new light! Magic is certainly real!

A must for Whitney Houston Fans

I believe this memoir truly humanized Whitney and fills in the gaps Bobby Brown left out of his memoir. The bodyguard is a truly independent third party with no loyalty to anyone except Whitney. He does not seek to boost his ego or cover his transgressions which is the case in both Bobby and Robin's memoirs. I couldn't stop listening and I highly recommend this listen. The love the writer feels for her is truly evident in his narration. What a tragic loss of a beautiful soul.

The story Whitney deserved

A pure and raw as well as authentic remembering of Whitney Houston. One thing seems for certain is that everyone could not deny the outward as well as inner beauty that woman possessed. The peace and love she searched for and deserved was not to be found here on the earth for her unfortunately. I pray now that she has transitioned to be with her Lord and Savior that she is basking in all of the love she can withstand.
