Though the artificial narration lacks it is better than expected. The book is maybe AI written and sometimes redundant. At the same time as one who grew up punk it hits the highlights and the name drops reminded me of many to add to my playlist. I think it made a good argument for later pop punk (Greenday, Paramore, etc…) as successors of the strands of punk and not pretenders. For those new to punk this is decent intro. I would have preferred snippets of the sound, reading or hearing about punk is t experiencing it. Then again, listening with noise cancelling headphones on the couch isn’t experiencing punk. Punk is the rage, the hope for change, the crappy speakers, pit and raw emotion that is experienced in basements, sketchy bars, and sometimes an outdoor stage. I was hoping to hear some of the development not just hear about the development of punk. But at least it helps direct a novice or middle aged, going deaf rebel to look up some bands for themselves.

Good overview of primary bands and later developments in punk music
