This book is an account of four of the first Leveretts in the colony of Massachusetts. Two are well known, one being the Governor of the Colony during King Philip's War, the other being the President of Harvard at a critical time. The connection with the author and his known ancestors is murky because records were lost during the witch trials; the book explores that missing link.
