Maddie Thompson, a senior at MIT studying biochemical engineering, is used to being the youngest person in the classroom, and one of the loneliest. When she meets Professor Shannon Forsythe, her world is turned upside down. The professor's eyes remind her of a cat that once stole her mother's necklace. But that's not possible, right? Maddie is determined to find out the truth. She sets out to get closer to her teacher, but never imagines how close they'll get.

Shannon Forsythe has had a difficult life, which has led her to behaviors unbefitting an MIT professor. When Maddie covers for her, Shannon realizes her student is more than just another girl genius. More than just another pretty face.

Will Maddie run away when she learns the feline truth about Shannon? Or will she accept her and give in to the desires overwhelming her since she first saw her new professor?

Year of the Cat?

Segment 4 of the author's cat shifter series. This time the the young/old lesbian couple are a student genius and her professor. There is the necklace that has made it all the way through the series, again in the possession of the older woman but rightfully belonging to the younger. In a different twist neither woman is in any danger in this selection. I'll admit that I'm not a huge fan of fantasy, but that aspect has been limited in this series. Thumbs up to all 4 books in this series all are worth the cost.
