Unexpectedly solid and grounded

I went into this audiobook with some skepticism, mostly because anything that mixes quantum physics and consciousness usually slides into vague claims or spiritual shortcuts. That didn’t happen here.

The physics part stays disciplined. The author is careful about what quantum theory actually says and, just as important, about what it doesn’t say. Interpretations are treated as interpretations, not as hidden truths about the universe waiting to justify personal beliefs.

What really worked for me is how figures like Gurdjieff are handled. He’s not presented as some mystical authority, but more like someone who noticed certain things about attention, inner fragmentation, and automatic behavior long before we had modern language for it. When those ideas are put side by side with cognitive science, neuroscience and quantum physics they start to feel practical and grounded, rather than symbolic or abstract.
