After a short stay in the Turks and Caicos, our course takes us to the north coast of Hispaniola. Christopher Columbus appropriately named this stretch of boat-eating ocean the ‘Thorny Path’. The book is a true adventure about overcoming fear and dealing with dangerous challenges in one of sailing’s harshest proving grounds. Bashing through heavy seas and strong headwinds on a lee shore isn’t for everyone. But at least you can read about it.

Great story about sailing the thorny path, but the digital voice makes it weird. Still worth it.

this is a pretty good example of the life of cruisers. it's a must read for anyone interested in that lifestyle. it's also a great example of how not to treat your wife. the part where she wouldn't let her have snack of almonds and raisins was really over the top, especially considering as he said she only weighed 106 lb.

AI voice is terrible

As an avid sailor and cruiser, the story is kind of fun, but suffering through the Ai voice reading is torture. No mas.
