I previously read this book, but the audio version is so much better and brings the characters to life. Alexis was a thorn in my side and unreasonable at times but she grew on me as the story progressed. I loved reformed Kent from minute one. The real hero is Kent's mom imo. She was able to get through Alexis's thick hard head. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The duet narration was great

First book from this author! Loved it!

This was my first book from this author and I absolutely loved the story. I was drawn into it immediately based on the performances from Heather Firth and Aaron Shedlock, who are always amazing. The characters had depth and were real. I loved the determination of Kent's character to win back his girl. Had me hooked from the beginning. Highly Recommend. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

Awesome Story & Narration🎧 A Smoking🔥Hot🔥Delight!

I loved everything about this book, from Heather Guimond’s wonderful writing style to the story and characters she created to the perfectly casted narrators, Heather Firth & Aaron Shedlock who truly brought the life, from the pages to your ears. This is the second book in the “A Love Between the Pages” series, can be enjoyed on it’s own but I recommend listening to the 1st book too, it is awesome too. This is Alexis and Kent’s story, Alexis Lane is an author known for her “good-girl” romance novels, she also writes Erotica novels under pen name Reina Dare. She wants to increase Reina Dare’s following so she is sponsoring the Limitless Lust in Vegas Convention. The Kingsley Hotel in Vegas is gaining popularity and she is hoping to strike a deal to hold the convention there while offering future bookings. Having no luck getting an appointment with the hospitality manager she heads to the bar for a relaxing drink. Kent Kingsley is the CEO of The Kingsley Hotel, he with the help of his siblings run it and have plans to make it better than ever. He is sitting in the hotel bar when a beauty catches his attention she sits a few stools away and he knew he had to have her and her sexy heels. Alexis first blew him off, she started to warm up to him when a woman approaches him. Thinking she is his girl friend she ups and leaves. He tried looking her up but there was no room registered in her name. I loved how everything plays out in this book, how Alexis does not give him the time of day and how he does not give up. Just when he thinks he has her she pushes him away even further. Got to love strong willed people, Kent even recruits his family to help him win her over. There is never a dull moment in this book, the story flows naturally and it is plotted out nicely with plenty of drama, angst, some laughs, heartfelt moments and smoking hot romance. Heather Guimond thank you for another great story!

Heather Firth and Aaron Shedlock are talented narrators and voice artists. They do an awesome job portraying the characters, humanizing them, giving each their own voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture and project the characters emotions into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen🎧

Wonderfully written and Spectacular narration!

I enjoyed this story. It had me hoping and wishing for these characters to be able to get together. When they meet they are like oil and water. Alexis/Raine has a strong personality and she is NOT afraid to show it. I have never seen a man have to work harder in his life for a woman. Kent did wonderfully. He didn’t shy away from her attitude or her shoes. He stood up and took all she had to give and was happy about it.

I loved his family! They are such a great add to the story! Sibling love is strongly at work here. Not to mention the parents. I loved that they all became so involved. We also get to see and spend some time with Stacy and Gage (from book 1).

This is my second book by this author. I loved and enjoyed this one. I did listen to this on audio. Heather Firth and Aaron Shedlock are the narrators. They each did an amazing job with these characters. Making this a joy to listen to.

Fun and Steamy Romance!

I really enjoyed this fun and steamy romance. Kent Kingsley, runs the family hotel/casino. Alexis is a romance novelist but uses the pen name, Reina Dare, for her more erotic books. She is visiting the hotel to talk to Kent about holding an author event there. They get off on the wrong foot when they meet unexpectedly in the hotel bar. Kent is arrogant and cocky and offends Alexis despite their attraction. Kent is determined to get a second chance with Alexis. She is independent and spirited and the more she fights their attraction, the more determined Kent is to make her his. They both have pasts that cause them to be wary, and their relationship is a push/pull of emotions and steamy sexual tension. This is a rollercoaster journey with several twists that kept me totally engaged.
Narrators Heather Firth, and Aaron Shedlock did a great job bringing this story to life. They portrayed both Alexis and Kent with all their strengths and vulnerabilities, beautifully, setting the stage for all the fun, and passion to come. I was easily lost in their performance.
