Not even at the $1 price tag

Well, that was hugely dissatisfying. There’s not really much plot other than following a balding butt-doctor’s marital exploits as he deals with his ex-wife, recounts his wedding and other random events with his current wife, and talks about his non-biological son, who Scottie claimed as his on the son’s birth certificate. Each chapter starts with a snippet from the cat’s POV and then features the POVs of Scottie, his new wife, his son, his son’s friend Taj, and sundry folks in Scottie’s orbit.

It’s as if the author wrote this as divorce therapy. There’s so much about custody, settlements, and how new partners deal with the exes. Oh, and lots of digs against polygamy and of course endless puns and jokes about butts facilitated by Scottie being in a band whose whole gimmick is the butt.

I didn’t get it. This was vaguely like Napoleon Dynamite in tone, but nowhere near as funny.
The topics are adult, with a hippie-dippy delivery. This went over like a lead balloon.
