Director Vamsy is one of the versatile filmmakers in the Telugu cinema industry. He has a special page in the history of Telugu cinema for portraying the beauty of the Godavari and the villages through which the river flows. In every film, he focused on the lives of villagers and their innocence. Rangularatnam is one of his famous stories. In Rangularatnam, Vamsy tells the story of a family that takes us way back to 1907. Over a period of 100 years until 2007, Vamsy depicts the life of a family that runs a 'Rangula Ratnam' (a desi version of Giant Wheel) in Kotipalli Theertham (exhibition).
