The second title in the popular Rascal the Dragon series."Out you go," says Dad. It is cold outside. How can a little dragon get in? Ben's dad won't let Rascal in until he learns how to beg. Rascal has other ideas, and Dad is not happy. Looks like Rascal is in trouble.

In Ben's world, dragons exist like dogs and fulfill all the doggy functions with dragon overlays, like having two heads, or being able to fly. The dragons all correspond to various breeds of dog. Gentle, funny stories with the trademark Paul Jennings twist at the end.

Editorial reviews

A sweet story for young children, who will enjoy the fun music and silly sound effects. Ben's dad won't let Rascal sleep inside until the dragon learns how to beg, but the little guy is a slow learner and tries every trick that he can to open the door. Performer Rebecca Macauley is an energetic narrator who has a great time with the different voices. She repeats the story three times: once with music and sound effects, once with special sounds that tell children when to turn the page, and once with no added noise, so that kids can supply their own soundtrack.
