"Flap your wings, Rascal," says Ben. But Rascal's wings don't work. What else can he use?

In Ben's world, dragons exist like dogs and fulfill all the doggy functions with dragon overlays, like having two heads, or being able to fly. The dragons all correspond to the various breeds of dog.

At last, some Paul Jennings books for early readers, each with the satisfying trademark Paul Jennings twist!

Editorial reviews

Australian performer Rebecca Macauley narrates the beloved children's author Paul Jennings' story of a little dragon named Rascal who is trying to learn to fly. Macauley repeats the story three times in different ways, the first with fun music and inspired sound effects; the second time with a special noise that tells children when to flip the page; and the third time with no extra noise, so that children can supply their own soundtrack. A great performance for very young listeners, who will love the boisterous sounds and benefit from the story of persevering until you succeed.
