Rast and the Cloth of Iron

To escape bullying, fourteen-year-old Rast goes with his father to Iran. There, he accidentally acquires the Taaljyiipe, an ancient cloth that protects the innocent from harm. Learning to use the Taaljyiipe’s gifts, Rast impresses the beautiful Maru. But sinister forces will do the unspeakable to possess the cloth’s power. The head of a secret order appears to Rast. But the boy will not listen to advice, believing himself to be a superhero. When he uses the cloth to fly over Los Angeles with Maru on his back he feels supreme. Convinced he needs no one, he breaks off with friends. Now, tricked and left to die by his adult enemies, Maru pulls him from the brink of death. Together again, they risk everything to defeat the dark forces.
