The shocking story of how the American government charged brave veterans with phony war crimes to placate foreign autocrats.

Gina Keating is proud of being a liberal and a journalist. She always has been. So when Keating first looked into the Raven 23 case, she expected to find the government doing its job, giving its war fighters a fair trial. Instead, she found that Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder, and Barack Obama had rammed four Americans’ convictions through the courts. It would take Donald Trump’s eleventh-hour pardon to correct this terrible miscarriage of justice. These discoveries, and her subsequent investigation, would flip Gina’s world upside down.

The events in Nisour Square, Baghdad, constituted one of the most tragic events of the Iraq War. Blackwater employees Dustin Heard, Paul Slough, Nick Slatten, and Evan Liberty fired “unprovoked” into a crowd of civilians. At least, that’s how the official story went. But that story was a lie. In fact, the former servicemen had been fired on by insurgents and had engaged according to the rules of war—a reality that the US government would spend the next decade suppressing as DOJ wasted countless taxpayer dollars prosecuting innocent men.

Raven 23 charts the story of the government’s battle against justice, which spanned a decade, three trials, and numerous twists and turns. Full of shocking revelations of prosecutorial misconduct and depravity at the highest levels, Raven 23 is a must-read exposé of how the justice system was weaponized against men who risked their lives to keep their country safe.

The truth is disturbing, but to know so many cared enough to fight for their vindication. It is terribly sad but not surprising that the elites would do such a thing. I hope this book opens people eyes and starts a renovation of our legal system, and destruction of the deep state elites.

Very interesting and eye opening information. Scary to believe our government could do this.

The apparent lack of judicial fairness and justice presented in this case

Beautifully written, well researched portrayal of the TRUTH regarding the US government spending 40-50 Million dollars to railroad 4 citizens and their families. The families, Gina and All others who spoke the truth and worked on the side of true justice are an inspiration to Christ followers and decent people over the globe. I did not previously have any imagination that the US government was just or good but for those who do this is a fantastic opportunity to learn the lengths evil spirits will go to push their agenda and the overwhelming strength of the Holy Spirit to prevail. The support personnel who fought to free these men are to be held in high regard for their grit and determination. I hope you be able to meet the author and men and their families on book tours.

Wow! I cried a lot. Sad, frustrated and then happy tears. So well written and clear for those of us who don’t fully understand war, politics and corruption. I am proud Trump was able to do the right thing for these young men who have suffered so much. I am a Bostonian skeptical by nature. I had 16 years of Catholic School although I am no holy roller. The big guy upstairs often our only hope. Faith continues to amaze me. Thank you for a thoughtful book that helped me understand a complicated and troublesome predicament.
