When ancient magic suddenly returns to his land, a warrior priest must protect his world from monsters that were once only legend in the second book of USA Today bestseller David Dalglish's epic fantasy trilogy.
Magical creatures are attacking the capital city, seeking to retake what was once theirs, and no one is safe. Ancient cultists have cursed the highest members of the Church, turning them into twisted abominations. The only hope for a cure lies with Adria Eveson. To learn the cure, she must befriend an imprisoned cultist, and guard her heart against his seductive promises and twisted logic.
The fate of all races, human and magical, rests in her hands, and in the choices she makes. Should she choose wrong, only one person stands in her way: her brother, the Soulkeeper Devin Eveson.

"With strong world building, imaginative monsters, and a capable system of magic, this series will please readers who enjoy dark epic fantasy with engaging characters."— Booklist on Ravencaller
"The plot rockets along from one magical battle to the next, but Dalglish deftly weaves in rich character development alongside all this action. Fans will love the second installment of this dark fantasy about very human characters beset by inhuman dangers."

Kirkus on Ravencaller
"A dark and lush epic fantasy brimming with magical creatures and terrifying evil....Dalglish's world building is subtle and fluid, and he weaves the history, magical workings, and governance of his world within the conversations and camaraderie of his characters. I am thoroughly enjoying the storyline of this trilogy. The characters are well developed and the story unique and very engaging.

The narrator does a very good job telling the story. He tries to develop different voices for the main characters but his range is a little limited in this.

I highly recommend this series for all readers who enjoy fantasy.

Wonderful book.

Brutal, violent, graphic sex scenes, and the deaths of characters you like.

this book is quite a midpoint in this trilogy.

It makes you want to continue through to the end.

We have now gone Game of Thrones.

this is a great follow up to an awesome book. i didnt like the sudden addition of one of the new characters at first. however the longer they were around the more compelling i found them. im already in book 3.

what a ride

Good book that kept me entertained and wanted to keep listening to the end of each chapter.

Entertaining

I really like the storyline and main character but I have had to skip over multiple adult explicit portions that I feel are not needed or vital to the storyline, the same thing could have been accomplished without the detail that was put into it. I'm very disappointed in the stories. other than that the voice actor is very good.

too much explicit content
