When Rock Wolfe was fourteen, he tried to kill his father.

Twenty years later, someone else finished the job.

Now Rock is returning to New York for the reading of the billionaire's will. No way did Derek Wolfe leave anything to his oldest son, but according to Rock's brother, his presence is required.

Estate attorney Lacey Ward isn't looking forward to the reading. None of Derek Wolfe's children will be happy, least of all his oldest. When Rock enters the conference room, Lacey is stunned. He's a rebel--a biker all muscled and gorgeous in black leather. This won't be easy, especially since she can't stop staring at him.

Rock pays no attention to the reading. He's lost in a fantasy of bending his father's hot attorney over a desk. He's not a commitment kind of guy, though, and she screams white picket fence. Sparks fly between them, but the murder lurks in the back of their minds.

Rock knows all his family's secrets...or so he thinks. Mysteries seem to hide everywhere--mysteries that threaten not only his and Lacey's future but their lives as well.

This series follows the Wolfe siblings finding love while entrenched in a mystery about their fathers death, in which they all are implicated. Each book gives you little nuggets of information, while spinning the mystery of Derek Wolfe's life. Derek was not a good man, and as you go through the series, you find out more and more about how terrible he really was. I love how the siblings stuck together, communicated with each other and worked with and helped each other, even though Derek did his best to alienate all of them to each other in life. As for the romance aspect of the books, I LOVE that the books don't follow the "formula" of the romance genre. I love that the relationships (albeit ridiculously quickly to develop) are solid. The entire series develops over a few short months.

Series is off to a good start; hope the next book in series has been released! Not fond of books ending in a cliffhanger. That Derek and Connie were a piece of work. Can’t wait to clear up some of this stuff. Both narrators did an awesome job; love Troy’s low gravelly voice.

Intriguing storyline

Cringy to Listen. I just couldn’t connect with Rock or Lacey. For a lawyer, Lacey was so immature and “sheltered.” I stayed to the end to see if her character would evolve, but it disappointed.

It was good, but too many similarities with the steel brothers saga. Also it would’ve been better to have a different narrator, also sounded the same as steel brothers. Still a good storyline and suspenseful I will read the next book in the series.
