Romantic Suspense

Reckless Night by S.M. West is a romantic suspense that I listened to on audio narrated by Lauren Sweet and Troy Duran. The book was previously published as Red in the Love in Color series.

This book does come with a Warning: “This book contains graphic language, explicit sexual scenes and violence.”

This is the second book of Suzanne’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I loved the chemistry between Rylan and Tate. The book does end on a cliffhanger but that wasn’t a surprise since it’s the first book in the New York Knights series. I can’t wait to dive into the next book in the series Fallen Night.

Lauren and Troy did an amazing job on the narration. They both know how to bring a story to life.

I would recommend this book if you love romantic suspense or forbidden romances.

A Romantic Suspense!

This is the first book in the New York Knights Series, an amazing Romantic Suspense. Rylan and Tate's enemies-to-lovers story is beautiful, suspenseful, intriguing, and captivating, filled with angst, betrayal, danger, and twists and turns. Tate is strong, and determined. Rylan is handsome, protective and supportive. I like their chemistry, and their beautiful slow burn story. Lauren Sweet and Troy Duran did an outstanding job with the narration. I love their voices together. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series, Fallen Night. I enjoyed it, and I highly recommend it. I love S.M. West's writing.

An enjoyable listening experience

S. M. West did a fantastic job with Rylan and Tate’s enemies to lovers story! It’s filled with deceit , suspense, betrayal, lust, and angst! Tate is headstrong, willful and out for vengeance! Rylan is determined, loyal and honest! Although they both have the same end goal, there are extenuating circumstances that cause them to question each other’s motives. One thing that I question is that Tate supposedly studied Krav Maga but never utilized any of it when in compromising situations. Also, Rylan was a little too forthcoming with FBI information when talking to Tate. Other than that, I enjoyed the story. Lauren Sweet and Troy Duran’s performances were good. It was an enjoyable listening experience!

This story! These characters! GAH! Just listen to it!!

Wowzer! This story!! Keeps me on the edge of my seat really never knowing what was going to happen next. That beginning?! I was like Wha?! Then I was shocked as it started to unfold. This girl is strong! After years of physical/mental abuse she doesn’t cower. Nope not her! She is always working on a plan and that plan has a backup plan. Escape is her final goal. Enter the sexy as heck FBI handler. He is smart and did I mention sexy? He also has an ulterior motive. Not sure if he can help her survive or push her further into desperation.

S.M West is a great story teller. This just flowed right along while keeping me on pins and needles. I did listen to this on audio. Troy Duran and Lauren Sweet are perfect! Troy Duran does excellent on Mr FBI. As well as the other men in here.

A lot of story!

So much to take in and really deep. I loved the story. Loved the storyline. It was brutal, emotional and a little hot. That’s a very good thing.

I loved Troy’s narration. Lauren’s not so much, I literally increased the speed of her chapters. Maybe she felt too nasally.

Solid writing, impressive book!
