This photobook is an album of Rina Geldenhuys's remarkable progress ever since her admission to the Oamaru Observatory Village Lifecare some eighteen months ago. She had transfered from the Kerikeri Retirement Village (having survived Palliative Care and close medical monitoring).
Rina has pursued her first love of colouring in adult books, taken up doing puzzles and playing carpet type bowls. The Observatory Village in Oamaru is a lot less restrictive than the Kerikeri home - especially with regards visitations under Covid-19 lockout/lockdown regulations and obtaining exeat visitations for a day. Her physiotherapy treatments are also progressing remarkably.
The Staff are also more friendly and a lot less formal. There are many social activities taking place and inmates have a wide variety to chose from.
