Great but needs to be longer and less predictable

We get introduced to a new A rank person and he'll a A rank team ... slightly and predictably they kill Him off and worse his entire party off screen. Which sucks because only one party member on his team got any voiced lines. The mage, It wasn't even long enough to give us any kind of connection to his team before stating they all died. Worse later in the book they treat his team dying like he was the only A rank in his team. But when he and his team are introduced it was as a team of A rangers, not just him. He was just party leader.

Also this story arc starts with Fran and the guild looking into Ashner as the perpetual who kidnapped thier friend and then they bring in the military guy into the story and just drop the whole keeping in contact with the guild, remember Fran was to investigate and report back the guild leader on the scouting mission results. Instead this becomes after thought as they trail someone and then then for multiple days never contact the guild nor get either side to reach out to eachother and join together for these 2 attacks on thier targets.

Much better than when I read it

I have read the majority of the books and when I read this one and volume 12, I thought they were kind of boring. But now I found this quite enjoyable. I hope my impression of 12 improves too.

It was good, but he Nerfed Fran

It was another excellent, book for the most part. My only problem with it was that he has neglected to talk about Fran’s personal growth at all in this last book.

Oh man this was so good! I enjoyed every bit of it! Now I need to go and find the rest of these books.

I don't know how this guy does so many voices perfectly but I love it
