Let the games begin!

Dr. Maura Cambridge was up to her eyeballs in student loans. When the opportunity emerges to wipe the slate clean by participating in a contest, who was she to say no? A wild adventure and a chance to escape before adulting in the ‘real world’ seems ideal… until she was partnered with the brooding soldier who was scowling at her.

Jeremy Hood had a bone to pick with everyone, including his skittish teammate. Labeling the world-weary soldier as sour or jaded didn’t seem to be the right description. Everyone has a story and secrets, but when they become too much to handle for even him? Could a change of scenery and a pinch of destiny be just what the doctor ordered?

I loved the twists and turns. I could picture everything playing out in my head. Lets just say it’s high up on my “Wish they turn this into a Hallmark movie” list. ~ Amazon Reviewer of Remember Destiny

*** These standalone sweet, clean romances follow a team of soldiers that were once stationed in Afghanistan, bound by friendship. They can be read alone but if you read them together, their stories are so much richer.

I like this story because the problems are different than the usual tropes. Though being on the Survivor-like show Lost is unrealistic, the interaction between characters is lifelike and genuine. The problems they face in a long-distance relationship and the way they solve it are what made me like the story even more.

It is Ginny Sterling’s special blend of real and imaginary that works for me in this book. I do appreciate her perspective which is patriotic while still broaching difficult topics. Nothing gets too deep but she recognizes on some level the humanity within war and the toll it takes on our humanity. Of course, love ❤️ is her answer to it all.

Virtual Voice is tolerable but not great. Human narrators are always best. VV adds nothing to the story except it gives me the ability to finish a book while doing other tasks. I appreciate access to stories this way, but human narrators can make listening immensely more enjoyable and add a layer of interpretation that aids understanding. AI / VV will never reach that level of human imitation.
