Romeo and Juliet eat your heart out...

Corporal Leo Talbot wished things would lighten up on the team. No one could appreciate a few practical jokes, and he desperately needed an outlet for the darkness within him. No one would understand the scars on his soul… until he received that first email from Sadie.

Sadie Gomez thought writing some soldier overseas was the stupidest idea that her grief counselor entrusted her to do – especially anyone with the last name of Talbot. The nightmares wouldn’t simply go away by discussing them, especially when Leo was dealing with his own issues.

When an unexpected tragedy and a secret matchmaker brings the two foes together, will Sadie be able to trust Leo to have her back?

I loved how excited Leo was to meet Sadie again. His love from long ago was unrequited. When he was able to meet Sadie in person, his tenderness was shown in so many ways, in spite of her reluctance. After all, she had experienced a tragedy in her life. His care and patience, led her to believe she could love and trust again. I loved the nicknames they had for each other and their desire for ‘acorns’! Such a sweet and loving book in the series. Still not happy about the virtual narrator. Too many words are mispronounce, and it is hard to distinguish sometimes who is speaking.
