Welcome back to Willoughby Close, with four new residents and happy endings to deliver.

Laura Neale is grieving. A year after her beloved husband’s death, she is still left with far too many questions and is struggling with feelings of guilt, anger, and grief. Hoping to rebuild her life and her children’s, she moves to Wychwood-on-Lea with her two troubled kids - an 11-year-old son with too much energy and a 14-year-old daughter flirting with the same depression that afflicted her father.

The warm community of women who have lived in Willoughby Close welcome her with open arms, and their friendship helps Laura find a semblance of peace. But when she finds herself with an entirely unexpected attraction to her son’s teacher, James Hill, Laura is gobsmacked. James is charming, funny, and 10 years younger than her, thus completely unsuitable. Besides, her husband Timothy was her soulmate - wasn’t he?

As revelations about everything she once held dear surface, Laura wonders if she is reckless or maybe just brave enough to try for love a second time.

I’ve really enjoyed these books and the series has helped distract me and carry me through some challenging personal times. Good stories and characters with some of life’s learning along the way. The only thing that isn’t as good as I would’ve liked is the accent and tonality of the narater

Loved the series and a great conclusion

This and all the other books were written for us. They were all about the hardships people faced and how we move forward with life. I cried and laughed because of how much I loved each story.

I will miss reading these stories.

Great story line and lovey book as part of the series. I love how each story has its own twists of fate but they have great learning moments. Life is tough and we all have challenges. I love how she ties it all together. With a twist at the end for the new book.

Terrific story

This was a really truly lovely read however it was somewhat juvenile and predictable. Kate Hewitt definitely has painted a charming, picturesque place that we’d all love to visit, or live in. But I felt that there could have been more focus on some of the other residents that we’ve gotten to know from her past books and not just focus on one.

Cute but somewhat predictable

I’ve enjoyed this series. It’s pretty predictable but in a good way. Like all the hallmark movies

Good hallmark-y book
