What kind of friend abandoned you after your first kiss?

Gabriel Peña saw Robin’s name on the list of pen pals, and he grabbed at the chance to reconnect with his old friend. He’d known her since seventh grade, their families lived across the street from each other, and he’d ruined it all with one single, stolen kiss.

Robin Law couldn’t believe Gabriel had contacted her. This was supposed to be a simple charitable Christmas card to a soldier – not a second chance to talk to a man who was afraid to commit and had rejected her. She’d chased him for years, only to have him up and join the Army without so much as a ‘goodbye’.

Obviously, Gabriel’s timing was still terrible…

She was getting married in four months.

Some kids seem to make all the wrong decisions when they’re young and fall in with bad crowds. It normally never ends in happiness. Fortunately Gabriel went into the Army which straightens many a young person out. Still feeling inadequate, he and Robin realize they were meant for each other. Thank goodness Lawson sent the call out. With Griffin’s guidance, he knew he couldn’t live without Robin. And holy cow! When Gabriel talks to Robin’s father about his past and trying to be a better man, it brought tears to my eyes at his sincerity. How could you not love that man for your daughter? The end of the story was so wonderful and gratifying, anyone would wish they had a great life together! I loved the name that Gabriel and Robin chose for their new baby, that was pure class. P.S. I think I would’ve loved to hear that the delivery doctor was also going to have a baby.
