Tough, resourceful, ruthless - as an SAS trooper, Nick Stone was one of the best. Now he's back on the streets. After a botched mission, the Regiment no longer want his services. But British Intelligence does - as a deniable operator. It's the dirtiest job in a very, very dirty world.

In Washington DC, it's about to get dirtier still. On the apparently routine tail of two terrorists, he discovers the bodies of an ex-SAS officer and his family. Soon he's on the run with the lone survivor of the bloodbath - a seven year old girl. And whilst she can identify the killers, only Stone can keep them at bay - and solve a mystery whose genesis takes him back to the most notorious SAS mission in recent history...

Remote Control is the first of Andy McNab's blistering Nick Stone thrillers - bestsellers whose landscape is so compellingly close to the truth that they had to be vetted by the Ministry of Defence, and could only be published as fiction...

Critic reviews

It's a corker
An enjoyably gritty thriller
Proceeds with a testosterone surge
When it comes to thrills, he's Forsyth class
McNab is the best suspense thriller writer to put pen to paper since Alistair MacLean (STEPHEN COONTS)
Action-packed and authentic in every detail, it gives us a hero who's at least as scary as the villains. Andy McNab is the real deal and a rare commodity - a hard guy who knows how to write (JOHN CASE)

I really didn't know what to expect when I purchased this title, but am delighted I did.

The action starts from the very first breath and doesn't stop until the end. McNab charecter development is excellent and you can't help get emotionally involved with the them.

Thornely's dolcit tones is perfect for narrating this first person style and delivers the story expertly.

I can't wait to listen to the next book in the series.

If you enjoy action thrillers, you'll love this.

Fast Paced Thriller

thrilling story from start to finish, really well narrated and s great listen. The Intro into one of my fave characters is fantastic, and really sets up the dark and gritty world Nick Stone operates in.

A great start to an amazing series

I searched for AMcNs best and this title came up. It’s a very boring story with repetitive and wholly unrealistic interaction between the hero (?) and a 7 year old girl - why I could not figure out because it was so badly written and characters so lamely unlikable. Why bother burdening the feeble plot with soap operish nonsense? Whatever thrills there might’ve been were lost beneath the same eating and sleeping scenes that played over and over. I got to the last hour thru neglect and realized I still had no idea what the story was really about or why it was still staggering on like one of the undead. I gave up. Not recommended in any way.

Quite terrible
