Sherlock Holmes recovering from a gun shot wound to the leg, accepts a consulting inquiry for a ghost at an Opera House. He discovers new challenges and new insults to his work.

Really good!

I really enjoyed this different take on Sherlock and Watson. It was a very good story and seems like it could be a really good starting point for more stories with another character. I hope there are some.

Sherlock Holmes meets The Phantom

I’m not an expert on The Phantom Of The Opera in any of its various forms and formats. So I can’t speak to how good or bad this retelling is. My comments are strictly based on it as a Holmesian story.

The mystery was fairly simplistic, with no real twists or turns. Crippling Holmes was a hard pill to swallow, but I understand why the author did so. A few things seemed ill thought out, such as the depth of the phantom’s lair. Still and all, not bad.

The narrator did a solid job, but there were some noticeable misreads and mispronunciations. Not awful, but definitely noticeable.

All in all, probably worth a listen.

Very good

This was fun and very entertaining, although it leans too heavily in 'Phantom of the Opera' plot IMHO.

Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the story: the concept of a Holmes feeling unsure of his ability to solve a case because of a physical injury is well done; the resolution of the clash between two different and yet, strangely similar kind of genius was satisfying; Watson is smart and capable, I always love that :D

So, yes, an enjoyable and rewarding story :D
