Reparations and America's 2nd Civil War

21st Century America has one historical trend: it’s more and more divided each year. There are dozens of factors that warn if a country is headed toward civil war. After the 2020 Pandemic almost all those alarms are sounding. The state of the union is weak at best. Most Americans are barely surviving economically. Years of high inflation forced millions to live off credit cards and so debts are increasing. Wages have trailed behind growth for decades.
As people get more desperate, millions turn to crime. Mass shootings, violent crime, armed robberies all increased after the pandemic. More people are shot in Chicago on a 3-day weekend than are shot in Baghdad, Iraq. St. Louis is one of the most dangerous cities on the entire planet. Hundreds of thousands of homeless people live in tents on the streets. Mental illness among the poor goes untreated, and drug use is epidemic-yet often legal and openly allowed.
Many District Attorneys deliberately choose not to prosecute crimes, and too often just let people back on the streets as a form of social justice. Whether it’s the 2016 election or the 2020 election, voters on both sides of the aisle distrust the national electoral system. After dozens of illegal, partisan interventions in national elections on the part of the FBI and CIA, half the country has lost faith in the government. One-sided, partisan media coverage further divides the population.

Faced with a nation ripe for Civil War, this book illustrates what might happen if someone ran for President using the core issue of reparations for slavery. Other books can discuss the right or wrong of the issue, this text illustrates the possible effect.
