Awesome story and amazing voice acting!

This is a great vampire book with a darker tone in it. The main character is over powered and a lot of stories kind of get boring kind of fast if the OP MC just completely destroys everything and doesn't have much of a challenge. This book definitely keeps you interested throughout and keeps you on the edge of your seat. there are challenges that are hard for the MC to overcome. This is also a story where the MC grows and can get even stronger.

Unique and stimulating plot and performance

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Both the story and the performance kept my interest peaked and mind wondering what would happen next. So many of these stories are too predictable, but just when I would think I had this one figured out, it would take me by surprise. Loved the development of the characters and plot, the descriptive writing, and the performers did a great job making it come to life. I can’t wait for the next one!

Kept me on my toes! Unique plot!

Very interesting and unique plot, as someone that can often predict the direction of a story, this one kept me wondering what would happen next. I love the blend of cultures and the variety of characters. I'm super interested to see where Jay Styles will take things in the next books.

Great combination of African magic and Vampires.

Voice acting for all the various characters was fantastic. Pacing was good. Fight scenes were well described. Tie into African history gave it some solid flavor.

Wonderful Narrating

I read the physical book back when it first came out, but I'm pleased to listen to the audio book. The voice actors did a tremendous job on bringing the characters to life, and honestly their performance was better than what I could have imagined. I look forward to hearing more from this cast as the other books become released!
