Mal wants one thing in life—vengeance against those that deserted him and those who tortured him. But rescuing a wounded woman from their captors, one that wreaks of innocence and fear, makes Mal put his plan on hold. Temporarily. He'll do what he needs to keep her alive and safe, even if it changes both of their lives forever.

Being stabbed and held in a dark cell wasn't on Olivia's top ten list. Her savior isn't exactly hero material. Angry, scarred, and pissed at the world, he seems to resent being saddled with her. But the longer they're together, the more firmly a connection forms between them. A connection that binds her to him, his pack, and his world. But that connection may just lead to her death.

Contains mature themes.

This 2nd book in the series starts off strong. Lots of dramatic tension. The MMC is attractively developed and the FMC is sympathetic without being infantilized. There’s decent tension between the two of them. The editing is a little choppy but overall the story is entertaining and satisfying. The narrator is pleasant and has good delivery. My one quibble, is that this narrator pronounces “wolf” as “woof”. Normally, I never, but ever, take issue with regional accents or personal speech idiosyncrasies. But this one, in particular, is unfortunate. The missing “l” is disconcerting all on its own. But the whole concept of wolf is supposed to be evocative, powerful. By transforming it to a half hearted or benign dog bark is constantly jarring. Overall, however, the 2nd book gets even better than the first.

Didn’t get a whole lot done because I was listening to this book. Usually, I can listen to a book and work not with this book. I had to pay attention there was lots of action kept me engaged. That is a great thing

Love it

I think I've listened to better warewolf stories where the pack can communicate via mind linking. This entire series lacks the Alpha to pack bond.

I love the narrator

Liked this story it has twist and turns that make a strong storyline. I love the voice that narrates if I was not taken? ? ? I strongly recommend this book.
