Short and steamy historical romance. Not much character developement. The narrator force read....not an emotional read😕

Short easy listen

The story was an easy listen with some heat. It is very much as described. I didn’t care for the choppiness of the narration however, I’m not sure if it was the narrator or how the story was written. Overall, not bad. Would I listen to it again, probably not.

Was a great read and loved it. Narrator did a fantastic job also on this audiobook.

Great Short Story

I was given this free review copy audio-book at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Great short story, love the characters and story line. Merla is a mail order bride, when she meets her husband to be Baxter, he is nothing like the letters he sent her, he turns out to be a violent man. She is rescued by Mac McElroy and his brothers. They take her home to their mother and nurse her back to health, Merla and Mac have an instant chemistry, will they be able to act on their feelings or will Baxter cause problems... Listen or read and find out!
