A bit repetitive until about 60% and then it finally picked up. I had a hard time liking V but she had me by the end. Overall I liked the story and will listen to the next book, especially after that cliffhanger ending.

Narration was good.

Listening while on the edge of my seat

OMG I’m in love with V. Whatever life throws at her she fight. Oh, she’ll retreat, is scared and hides for the ‘monster under her bed’ but she always comes back. Head held high!

Since the book ends on a cliffhanger, the jury is still out on Riker.

Great story.. great cliffhanger

I went into this book blind besides the fact that I love K.Bromberg’s books. There were so many ups and downs through out the story that kept you hooked on Vaughn’s and Rykers story! It had all for feels and I can’t wait to see where else their story takes then in the next book. If you don’t like cliffhangers, I would recommend waiting til you have the second book before starting!

K. Bromberg continues to amaze me each time I read one of her addictive stories. I always seem to fall head-over-heels with every character the author creates.

Vaughn has secrets and she is determined to resist and to keep hotshot high-powered divorce attorney Ryker Lockhart at arms length and to keep her plan on track without making it more complicated. But Ryker has other ideas and won't leave her alone. Determined to win her over, he breaks down her defenses and fights for her trust. The only thing Vaughn didn't prepare for was going weak in the knees over this arrogant man who threatens not just her heart, but the life she is fighting so hard to create…

Ryker Lockhart is just down right yummy and Vaughn is a strong, driven and admirable heroine. The passion and fire between them is intense and scolding.

oh my the book ended and the next book in the series isn't out yet. I am left wondering what happened? I was captured by the characters.
