Can grief and regret erode the magical bond between dragon and rider?

Jaxson’s grief has consumed him, still very much reeling from his fatal encounter with his father when he sent a fireball hurtling down at him. Obsessed with finding a way to talk with his late father, Jaxson seeks out a magical scroll that is more of a myth than reality. Unable to help his best friend, Zero could only watch Jaxson as he struggled with loss. But on the morning he woke to find Jaxson missing, he never assumed the young man left on his own.

To have a chance at reuniting with Jaxson, Zero must learn patience, rely on new friends, and face fearsome enemies. In the meantime, the Empire continues to wreak havoc in the Three Kingdoms. If they are not stopped, the only home Zero has ever known will not survive.

Does Zero have the resolve to defend his home while waiting on Jaxson to return? Will either ever be the same again?
