I know I've read the book, but there's something about the familiarity of hearing Micah Cottingham reading a Eric Butler story aloud. Not only can she perform (oh the accents in this one IYKYK), but Butler gifts her characters that come alive even more so verbally than they do on a written page. The thing about this story is that there are 'villains', I'm well aware that they're villains, and I love to hate them. Using the word love when it comes to such vile characters shouldn't be allowed, but there that is. I love to hate them. Despite having read it, and knowing how it ended, I still thoroughly enjoyed the (un)expected ending!!!!
